New York City - Week 4

Right now, on July 23, I’m waiting in the LaGuardia Airport for my flight back home. This concludes my wonderful 4 weeks in New York. This last week has flown by - much like the other weeks. New York City - Week 3

Only one week left here in the 'Big Apple'. As much as I absolutely love it here, it's going to be nice to go back home. If only that trip back home was a week and then back to New York! Gosh, I love it here. In the collage below you can see images from my trips to SoHo, the Top of the Rock, Coney Island, and the Empire State Building. New York City - Week 2

Quite the week! This past weekend was probably the funnest time I've had in a while. To give you an overview of the events; Friday was work then Chicago City Limits Improv Show, Saturday was the Cloisters and "Casino/Dance/Club Night", and Sunday was The Met/Central Park and the movie theatre. New York City - Week 1

I have been in New York for a week, and I can’t imagine going home. I absolutely love it here! It is my first time on my own, and I don’t feel homesick, I feel comfortable. In such a short amount of time, New York has slowly grown into a place I call home. I’ve already gotten into a daily routine. I know the subway system and I know where to go in the city. I enjoy the simple things like roaming around and in such a big city; you can never run out of things to do!

New York Bound - Travel Diary

Tomorrow I head off on one of the biggest adventures of my life. No, I'm not climbing Mount Everest, sailing through the seas, or eating a McRib. I am going to New York City! If you've read my other posts you know that I've already been to New York a few times before. So what establishes this as an adventure then? Well I am going by myself for 4 weeks for an internship program! I have never travelled by myself before. The program I'm involved with accounts to a large group of students my age (16-18) from all over the world. So I'm not literally alone, but I am away from my family and friends. I chose the field of journalism for my internship, but specifically I am doing fashion journalism. During the next four weeks I will get to explore the city, meet new people, gain work experience, and become an independent girl who's ready to take on the world! :)
